posted: May 10, 2021.
We are excited to announce that the FDA has given Pfizer emergency use authorization (EUA) for use of its COVID-19 vaccine in childern 12 years of age and older. It is, so far, the only COVID-19 vaccine authorized for use in children under 18 years of age.
We are awaiting word from the MA DPH as to whether or not we will be receiving vaccine for administration at Amherst Pediatrics. If not, the vaccine will be likely be available soon through local mass vaccination centers, such as the one at the Amherst Regional Middle School.
